KABUL: Donald Trump, the President of the United States, has stated that Washington and Islamabad are in the process of developing their large oil reserves.
Trump made the remarks on Wednesday evening, mentioning that a trade agreement has been reached between the U.S. and Pakistan, and they are currently selecting a company to manage and implement this agreement.
He wrote: “We have just completed an agreement with Pakistan, under which Pakistan and the United States will collaborate on developing their vast oil reserves. Who knows, they may even sell oil to India one day.”
Further details about this agreement were not disclosed in the President’s statement.
Earlier this week, the foreign and finance ministers of Pakistan traveled to Washington to discuss the agreement between the two countries.
