Scholars emphasis on preserving Islamic Hijab by women in society

KABUL: A number of religious scholars have emphasized the importance of adhering to and preserving Islamic hijab by women in society.
According to to Radio Omid, the issue was highlighted by several religious leaders and mosque imams today.
Mufti Mahmood Zakiri, the imam of Abdul Rahman Mosque in Kabul, speaking during the Friday sermon about the values of Islamic hijab in society, emphasized the significance of hijab in light of religious teachings from the Quran and Hadith.
Zakiri also underscored the material and spiritual benefits of adhering to Islamic hijab for women and the broader Islamic community.
He noted that the discussion surrounding the preservation of hijab is not merely a matter for clerics or a directive of enjoining good and forbidding evil, but rather a divine command.
This comes amid ongoing efforts by enforcers of promoting virtues and prevention of voice and to convey the values and benefits of hijab within the community.
