KABUL: Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, Acting Minister of Refugees and Repatriations, during a meeting with security and intelligence officials in Kunar and Nangarhar provinces has emphasized that all departments must fulfill their responsibilities regarding migrants.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations on Saturday night, Mawlavi Kabir stressed that necessary assistance should be coordinated and provided to returnees in all provinces, in collaboration with domestic and international organizations.
Meanwhile, Mawlavi Zia-ul-Haq, the police commander of Kunar province, and Qari Abid, head of intelligence in Nangarhar, assured that the situation for returning migrants in these provinces is being managed effectively.
They noted that the reception of returnees is being conducted in the best possible manner and that efforts are being made around the clock to protect the safety and property of returning migrants.
This comes at a time when the forced expulsion of Afghan migrants from neighboring countries, particularly Iran, is intensifying.
