Three men arrested with 120 kgs of opium in Takhar

TALEQAN: The counter-narcotics police personnel of Takhar province have arrested three men in two separate cases with 120 kilograms of opium.

The Takhar police command said in a statement on Sunday night that two of the individuals are from Helmand province, while one is from Takhar. They have been arrested for selling 75 and 45 kilograms of opium during separate operations by the anti-narcotics police personnel of the province, according to the statement.

The Takhar police emphasized that their cases were transferred to judicial organs for further investigation into their files.

This comes as efforts to combat drug trafficking continue by the country’s security, defense, and intelligence forces.
