KABUL: The Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement today that a weapons and ammunition cache has been discovered and seized in Parwan province.
Security forces from the Parwan Police Command have discovered and seized the cache during an intelligence operation in the Lolanj area of Surkh Parsa district of the province, the statement said.
According to the statement, the recovered weapons include 15 various types of firearms, 500 PK machine gun bullets, 16 hand grenades, 44 magazines, 35 rounds of grenade launcher ammunition, 50 landmine detonators, and other military equipment.
One suspect has been arrested in connection with the case, and the confiscated weapons have been handed over to the Parwan police command.
