Tatarstan calls for direct flights between Kabul and Kazan

KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, has expressed the desire for direct flights between Kabul and Kazan during a meeting with Mullah Hamidullah Akhundzada, the acting Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation.

According to a statement from the ministry on Wednesday, the Deputy Prime Minister described the initiation of such flights as a necessity and emphasized that Tatarstan is ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in various sectors.

“The meeting discussed the establishment and expansion of bilateral transport and logistics relations, the opening of a standard workshop for KAMAZ vehicles, the increase of commercial goods transfers between Afghanistan and the Russian Federation, and other related issues,” said the statement.

The acting Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation mentioned that Tatarstan investors could invest in the transport and logistics sectors in Afghanistan.

This meeting occurs while a high-level delegation from the Republic of Tatarstan during their visit to Kabul meets with Emirati officials.
