KABUL: In its latest analytical report, Doctors Without Borders states that U.S.-backed aid distribution centers in the Gaza Strip have turned into sites of “organized killing.”
The organization released its findings today, based on observations from its medical staff and testimonies from patients at clinics supported by Doctors Without Borders.
The report alleges that Israeli forces and their private American contractors are committing violence against starving Palestinians in areas known as the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF)” in ways that are both “targeted” and “indiscriminate.”
Doctors Without Borders calls for the dismantling of these aid distribution centers and emphasizes that the aid system must be re-established in coordination with the United Nations in Gaza.
The report also demands a complete suspension of financial and political aid from governments (especially the United States) and private donors to GHF, asserting that GHF locations have effectively become death traps.
Entitled “This is Not Aid, This is Organized Killing,” the report highlights that the GHF, which is described as an Israeli-American proxy entity, has militarized the aid process in the Gaza Strip.
This report comes in the wake of a visit by the U.S. Special Representative for Middle East Affairs and the U.S. Ambassador to Israel to Gaza, with plans to increase the number of U.S. aid centers in the area to 16.
