MoU worth $183 million signed between Afghanistan and Tatarstan

KABUL: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce said in a statement today that a Memorandum of Understanding worth $183 million has been signed between Afghanistan’s private sector and the Republic of Tatarstan.

The statement said that the agreement was signed in the presence of Nooruddin Azizi, acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, and Oleg Vladimirovich Korobchenko, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan.

During the signing, Azizi urged the private sector of Tatarstan to invest in Afghanistan’s mining, agriculture, and medicinal plant sectors.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan invited the Afghan delegation to participate in an oil exhibition in Tatarstan scheduled for August 26 (less than 20 days from now).

During their visit to Afghanistan, the Tatarstan delegation engaged in discussions with Afghanistan’s private sector in various fields, including food production, helicopter manufacturing, water management, oil and gas, electrical equipment, cleaning and hygiene products, construction materials, and steel production.
