KABUL: An armed individual opened fire inside a hospital in northeastern Atlanta, resulting in the death of an American police officer.
According to the New York Times, the attacker, who believed that the COVID-19 vaccine had worsened his illness, fired shots at Emory Hospital on Friday.
Reports indicate that the assailant’s body was found on the second floor of the hospital, though it remains unclear if he was shot by someone else.
Local authorities have also stated that three firearms were recovered from the scene.
It is noteworthy that recent weeks have seen an increase in armed attacks in the U.S., particularly targeting government and security personnel.
