Turkey to hold OIC countries meeting in response to full occupation of Gaza

hold a meeting of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in response to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision for the complete occupation of the Gaza
Turkey Today news agency reported that Hakan Fidan, Turkey’s Foreign Minister, speaking at a press conference with his Egyptian counterpart, emphasized that this decision was made following high-level diplomatic consultations between Cairo and Ankara.
As the chair of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, Fidan stated, “We have decided to call this organization to hold a meeting.”
It appears that both the Turkish and Egyptian governments have adopted a common stance following Netanyahu’s announcement regarding the complete occupation of Gaza.
According to Fidan, “We completely reject Israel’s intention for the full occupation of Gaza; this plan represents a new phase of Israel’s expansionist and genocidal policies.”
This recent decision by Netanyahu’s government has faced widespread opposition.
