Joint initiative of scholars and traders from 10 muslim countries to invest in Afghanistan

KABUL: A joint delegation of scholars and traders from ten Islamic countries has announced a plan to invest in Afghanistan, with 250 companies each committing $900,000.
The Panjshir governors’ press office said in a statement today that the delegation discussed the investment plan during their visit to Panjshir province, where they met with Hafiz Mohammad Agha Hakim, the provincial governor.
The delegation described the current security situation in Afghanistan as exemplary and encouraged investors to continue their businesses without any concerns.
The scholars and investors from various countries pledged to present an accurate image of Afghanistan to the Islamic world.
They also emphasized the importance of expanding trade and attracting investments in Panjshir province.
The delegation, which includes representatives from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Bahrain, Iraq, Oman, Malaysia, Palestine, Syria, and India, arrived in Afghanistan last week and has since held meetings with various officials from the Afghan government.
