Tripartite agreement signed to boost Afghanistan’s exports via air cargo

KABUL: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce said in a statement today that a tripartite agreement between the Ministry of Commerce, the Chamber of Commerce and Investment, and the air cargo company “Baharmomand Cargo,” has been signed today.
According to the statement, the company will facilitate an increase in Afghan exports by reducing prices and enhancing services compared to other air cargo companies.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has described the signing of this agreement as a significant and valuable step for expanding Afghanistan’s exports.
The agreement was signed by Mullah Janat Gul Akhund, General Director of Trade Affairs at the ministry, Younis Momand, Deputy of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment, and the head of the company, in the presence of Mawlavi Ahmadullah Zahed, Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce.
The air cargo company is set to begin transporting export goods from Afghanistan primarily to China, India, Turkey, Russia, and several other countries.
Currently, Afghanistan’s trade continues with dozens of countries worldwide through land, air, and sea routes.
