ANSA returns shipment of low-quality construction materials to Turkmenistan

KABUL: The Afghanistan National Standards Authority (ANSA) said in a statement today that a shipment of low-quality construction materials, has been returned to Turkmenistan.
According to the statement, the technical teams inspected a shipment weighing 52 tons from Turkmenistan at the Aqina port and deemed it to be of poor quality, leading to its return.
The statement stated that controlling imported goods and ensuring their quality are among the key priorities of the authority, and no substandard products will be allowed into the country’s markets.
The National Standards Authority emphasized its commitment to thoroughly assessing the quality of imported goods.
This comes after another shipment of over 70 tons of low-quality corn from Pakistan was also returned through the Torkham crossing yesterday.
