KABUL: Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, Deputy Spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, called August 31 (Sunbula 9) the fourth anniversary of the withdrawal of the last foreign soldiers from Kabul, as a significant event in the country’s history.
In a video message, Fitrat said today that this day represents the outcome of the 20-year jihad of the Afghan people against U.S. and NATO forces, highlighting the invincibility of the nation’s land and people.
He emphasized that Sunbula 9 demonstrates that any invading force, equipped with modern weaponry and intent on occupying Afghanistan, will face resistance and jihad from the Afghan people, ultimately leading to the failure of their advanced weapons against the power of faith.
Fitrat also stated that such historical events convey a message to future generations: when the people are united and prepared to sacrifice for their country’s freedom, any invading force will be defeated and humiliated.
It is noteworthy that while Afghanistan was taken by the Mujahideen on August 15, four years ago, the last remaining foreign soldier departed Kabul Airport on Sunbula 9.
