KABUL: Following the United Arab Emirates and India, Uzbekistan, the United Kingdom, and Canada have also expressed their condolences and committed to providing emergency assistance to families affected by the earthquake in eastern provinces of Afghanistan.
Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed solidarity with the Afghan people following this major disaster, stating that the government will soon send humanitarian aid to the eastern regions.
Similarly, the UK Foreign Office announced that it will allocate £1 million in emergency assistance for the earthquake victims.
Canada’s Prime Minister emphasized that they stand with Afghans in difficult times and will provide necessary humanitarian aid through relief organizations.
Reports indicate that the 6.0 magnitude earthquake has resulted in casualties affecting approximately 3,800 people in the eastern provinces.
