KABUL: Following the expiration of the deadline for the voluntary return of Afghan migrants, Pakistan’s Interior Ministry has issued orders for the arrest and forced deportation of Afghan nationals.
According to reports from the Pakistani media outlet Dawn, the Interior Ministry made this decision during a special meeting.
The ministry directed that all Afghan migrants, except for those holding valid visas, be arrested by the police and transferred to the “Government Boys College, Deh Sidan” for deportation preparations.
The Interior Ministry has requested the police to submit daily reports on the arrests and deportations of Afghan migrants to the ministry.
This directive comes as reports indicate that the process of arresting Afghan migrants began two days ago in various areas of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
