Qatar’s humanitarian aid for 11,000 Afghan earthquake victims arrives in Kabul

KABUL: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar has announced that, under the directive of Sheikh Tamim, the Emir of Qatar, urgent humanitarian aid has been transported to Afghan earthquake victims in Kabul.

In a statement on Wednesday evening, the ministry reported the delivery of aid shipments to earthquake-affected individuals in eastern Afghanistan.

Dr. Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misned, Qatar’s Minister of State for International Cooperation, handed over four planes carrying humanitarian aid to 11,000 families affected by the earthquake to Afghan officials at Kabul airport.

According to the statement, the aid includes medical teams, food supplies, medical equipment, and shelter items, provided by the Qatar Development Fund.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar stated that this assistance is part of Qatar’s ongoing support for the people of Afghanistan and reflects the country’s enduring commitment to humanitarian solidarity and relief efforts for victims of natural disasters.

Qatar has previously provided humanitarian aid to the Afghan people during emergencies.
