KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, attended the signing ceremony where the Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Mullah Hidayatullah Badri, signed a contract with a private company from Uzbekistan for the exploration of gas at the Tooti Maidan in Jawzjan province.
The gas area covers 7,500 square meters, and the project is expected to be completed within three years.
During the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Baradar stated that the completion of this project will commence Afghanistan’s natural gas exports, which will play a significant role in enhancing the country’s trade and economic growth.
