Senior IEA, Qatari officials discuss unified Islamic position against Zionist regime

KABUL: Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone conversation with Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khalifi, Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, the ministry said in a statement today.
According to the statement, both ministers emphasized that following the attack by Tel Aviv on Doha, Islamic countries must adopt a “unified, serious, and meaningful” stance against the Israeli regime.
During the conversation, Minister Muttaqi condemned the Israeli attack on the “brotherly country of Qatar” in the strongest possible terms, assuring that the Afghan people and government stand with the Qatari government and nation during such critical circumstances.
He noted that alongside the ongoing genocides in Gaza over the past two years, the Israeli attack on the Palestinian negotiating team in Doha represents a clear violation of laws, norms, and international values, exceeding all bounds.
The Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs expressed gratitude for the condemnation of the attack by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and their support for Qatar.
He stated that this attack occurred while the Palestinian delegation was negotiating for a ceasefire and labeled the Israeli assault on Qatar as an attack on “peace and mediation.”
Earlier, shortly after the Israeli attack on Qatar, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan had also issued a statement condemning the incident.
