KABUL: Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Uzbekistan, stated at the United Nations General Assembly, on Tuesday evening, that the world must support the aspirations of the Afghan people for a peaceful life.
He also called for the adoption of a special UN resolution to develop transport and energy corridors through Afghanistan.
Furthermore, he indicated that Uzbekistan intends to implement extensive infrastructure and economic projects in Afghanistan.
Mirziyoyev emphasized that when discussing regional and global security and sustainable development, the issue of Afghanistan cannot be overlooked.
Supporting the aspirations of the Afghan people for a stable and peaceful life requires united efforts from the international community.
These statements were made in the largest political forum in the world, while Afghanistan has experienced overall security for over four years.
