Electricity to be provided to 1,300 families in Baghlan

PUL-E-KHUMRI: The provincial Electricity Department of Baghlan said in a statement that with the initiation of an electricity supply project worth 32 million Afghanis 1,300 families will be provided with electricity in the province.

According to the statement, these families will gain access to electricity through the installation of 20-kilovolt poles in the Kelagai area of the Doshi district.

The Baghlan Electricity Department has officially begun work on the installation of six transformer poles as part of this incomplete project in the Kelagai area, said the statement, adding that project will be funded by the department’s budget.

Kilegi is one of the less developed areas in Baghlan and is located along the Kabul-Baghlan highway.

It is expected that the electricity supply initiatives will expand to 50 districts across the country during this year.
