KABUL: British police have arrested around 500 pro-Palestinian protesters, including members of a group known as “Palestine Action.”
Sky News reported on Saturday night, that these arrests occurred during demonstrations in London aimed at lifting restrictions imposed on the activities of Palestine Action, which had recently been enforced by the police.
The protests were sparked by a warning from the police following an attack on a Jewish synagogue in Manchester.
According to the British police, those arrested range in age from 18 to 79, with nearly 300 still in custody as of the latest reports.
Protesters were seen holding slogans such as “I oppose genocide” and “I support Palestine Action” when they were detained by the police.
Palestine Action is a civil movement in the UK that has been active since 2020, officially protesting against the collaboration of British arms companies with Israel.
