Traffic accident leave 3 Afghan migrants dead, 7 injured in Khorasan Razavi, Iran

KABUL: According to Iranian media reports, a traffic accident in the border areas between Iran and Afghanistan has resulted in the deaths of at least three Afghan migrants, with seven others injured.
The Mehr News Agency reported today that the incident occurred in the Taybad area of Khorasan Razavi province when a vehicle carrying Afghan migrants collided with a cargo truck.
Ahmad Karimi Asad, head of the Road Police – Faraja in Iran, stated that the victims were Afghan migrants attempting to enter Iran irregularly.
He emphasized that the vehicle carrying the migrants was in “unsuitable” conditions and was navigating an “unsafe” route while trying to evade police pursuit when the accident occurred.
Details regarding the identities of the victims have not been disclosed.
According to testimonies from Afghan migrants, human traffickers often disregard their safety while transporting them through treacherous and dangerous routes, leading to fatal accidents.
