Over 800 families returned home in single day

KABUL: The Office of the High Commission for Addressing Refugees Issues has reported that on Monday, hundreds of Afghan families returned to the country through various routes, and relevant committees provided them with essential services.

According to the commission’s report, a total of 810 families, comprising 4,245 individuals, were registered. Additionally, 913 families, totaling 5,229 members, were transferred to various provinces, and financial assistance was provided to all families.

Specifically, 138 families entered through Islam Qala, 50 families via the Silk Road, 429 families through Spin Boldak, and 193 families through Torkham port.

Officials stated that during this process, health service committees treated hundreds of individuals, distributed nearly 700 SIM cards with free internet access, and raised awareness among refugees about the country, the Islamic system, education, and tolerance.

The commission emphasized that the process of returning refugees and meeting their basic needs will continue in an organized manner.
