KABUL: Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate, during his visit to India, visited the Deoband Madrassa (religious school), where he received a warm welcome.
According to the ANI news agency today, Minister Muttaqi, accompanied by senior officials from the Madrassa, expressed gratitude for the extensive reception by the Darul Uloom and the local community, describing the future of Afghanistan-India relations as promising.
Minister Muttaqi stated, “Not only the people of Darul Uloom but the entire community has come here. I thank them for their warm welcome. I appreciate the scholars of Deoband and the local people for this heartfelt reception.”
He emphasized that so far, his visit to India has been “very good.”
The Afghan Foreign Minister is also scheduled to give a speech to the leadership, teachers, and students of the renowned Deoband School.
Deoband School is considered an important religious institution in the Indian subcontinent and South Asia, located in the Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, India.
