Construction of nearly 14 kilometers of road worth 364 million Afghanis begins in Kapisa

MAHMUD-E-RAQI: The construction work on a 13.68-kilometer road valued at 364 million Afghanis, has been kicked off in Kapisa province by Qari Ihsanullah Baryal, the Governor of the province.

According to a statement from the Kapisa Governor’s press office on Wednesday, the road with a length of 13.68 meters and a width of 10 meters, starts from the Versak area of the Tagab district to the Miahkil area of the district.

The statement noted that the project will be funded by the Ministry of Public Works and it is expected to be completed within 16 months.

In addition to the road construction, the project will also include the building of small bridges and retaining walls.

Once completed, this road is expected to alleviate transportation infrastructure issues for residents of the Tagab district in Kapisa.

Recently, construction on another road in the Tagab district, valued at 100 million Afghanis, also commenced.
