IEA condemns Pakistani military attack on athletes and civilians in Paktika called it “recurring crime”

KABUL: Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, has described the attack by the Pakistani military forces on civilians and athletes in Paktika province as a “recurring crime” and condemned it in the strongest possible terms.

According to a statement from his office, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan considers such actions by the Pakistani military regime as “provocative acts” and “attempts to continue the war.”

The statement noted that while the Islamic Emirate reserves the right to respond to the aggression and violations of national sovereignty by Pakistani forces, in order to maintain the status and respect of the negotiating team, instructions have been given to the Mujahideen to refrain from any new movements.

He emphasized that Afghanistan believes in resolving issues peacefully and ensuring sustainable regional security.

He also pointed out that the ongoing events are the result of “aggressions” from Pakistan.

The airstrike by the Pakistani military resulted in the martyrdom of several civilians, particularly cricket players, while others were injured.
