KABUL: Negotiations between the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the Pakistani delegation aimed at establishing peace and good neighborliness have concluded with the signing of a bilateral agreement.
Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, in a statement expressed gratitude today for the efforts of Qatar and Turkey in resolving disputes between Kabul and Islamabad.
He stated that the agreement emphasizes both parties’ commitment to peace, mutual respect, and the promotion of good relations and neighborliness.
It was also decided that neither country would engage in hostile actions and would not support any group that conducts attacks against the Pakistani government.
According to the statement, both parties agreed not to target each other’s security forces, civilians, or facilities and to resolve disputes through dialogue.
A joint mechanism is expected to be established with the mediation of the aforementioned countries to examine the claims of both sides and monitor the implementation of the agreement.
