Suhail Shaheen: Pakistan will not support opponents and attacks against IEA

KABUL: Suhail Shaheen, Afghanistan’s ambassador to Qatar, stated that in the ceasefire agreement between Afghanistan and Pakistan, both sides have agreed to refrain from any hostile actions against each other.

In a statement on his X account, he added that based on this agreement, Pakistan will not support opponents of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, and Afghanistan will not back groups or attacks opposing the Pakistani government.

He further noted that it has been decided that neither party will violate the other’s sovereignty or conduct attacks against civilians or civilian facilities.

This comes as the next meeting between Afghanistan and Pakistan is set to be hosted by Turkey.
