Over 120 development projects worth 280 million Afghanis completed in Uruzgan, ministry

KABUL: The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, in a statement told Radio Omid, that the construction work of 125 development projects worth 280 million Afghanis, has been completed and inaugurated in Uruzgan province.

According to the statement, the projects were implemented in various villages of the Gizab district of Uruzgan province through the local directorate of rural rehabilitation and development.

The completed projects included graveling of rural roads, construction and cleaning of irrigation canals, building retaining walls and gabions, and the construction of small bridges.

The statement added that the completion of the projects has alleviated many issues faced by the residents of the Gizab district.

During the implementation of these projects, job opportunities were also created for dozens of local residents.

Uruzgan is one of the provinces in the southern part of the country, which has seen limited development in many areas.
