Unexpected visit of high-level Pakistani delegations to Kabul

KABUL: Pakistani media have reported that a high-level delegation from Pakistan has made an unexpected visit to Kabul.

The newspaper and news website Daily Pakistan stated that the delegation arrived in Kabul today, to discuss security along the Durand Line and trade between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The Pakistani media outlet noted that this trip is a “significant step for regional stability” aimed at facilitating negotiations with officials from the Islamic Emirate.

It further mentioned that the visit was not pre-planned and is expected to lead to a “major transformation” in relations between Kabul and Islamabad.

Details regarding the composition of the Pakistani delegation and the specific officials involved have not been disclosed.

This comes as Pakistani media had previously reported on the imminent reopening of the Torkham crossing.
