KABUL: Following the closure of routes by Pakistan, the prices of essential food items have increased once again in the country.
Reports indicate that the price of tomatoes has surpassed that of chicken meat.
Currently, around 5,000 containers are stranded on both sides of the border, severely impacting traders from both countries.
The Afghan government has consistently stated that trade should not be politicized.
It is worth noting that the Pakistani side has frequently created obstacles in trade between the two countries.
