KABUL: Mawlavi Mohammad Nabi Omari, the First Deputy Minister of Interior, met with Richard Lindsay, the UK Special Representative for Afghanistan.
Mufti Abdul Mateen Qani, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, said in a statement today that both sides emphasized the importance of continuing and strengthening bilateral relations between Kabul and London.
The spokesperson added that the two sides exchanged views on the situation in Afghanistan and the region.
The statement also noted that the discussion included Britain’s humanitarian assistance through the UN and support for Afghan refugees.
Previously, the UK Special Representative had met with the Minister of Refugees during his visit to Kabul.
