Kazakhstan and Afghanistan’s annual trade to reach $3 billion

KABUL: Minister of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi met with Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Jumangarin, in Kazakhstan.

The ministry stated that during the meeting, both sides emphasized the expansion of trade relations, particularly in the areas of oil, wheat, flour, and agricultural products.

Minister Azizi also outlined investment opportunities in Afghanistan and requested Kazakhstan’s officials to establish a sales center for Afghan products in Almaty and invest in infrastructure projects.

The meeting also addressed the implementation of previous trade agreements, the removal of transit barriers, and the strengthening of banking relations.

According to the statement, both sides committed to increasing their annual trade to $3 billion.
