New chapter in relations between Dushanbe and Kabul; Tajikistan accepts IEA Ambassador

KABUL: A reliable source informed Radio Omid today that Tajikistan has accepted the ambassador and diplomats of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

According to the source, this move followed the visit of Mohammad Yusuf Wafa, the Governor of Balkh, to Tajikistan’s capital, Dushanbe.

It was added that this action marks the beginning of a new chapter in relations between Afghanistan and Tajikistan, initiated by the directive of Emomali Rahmon, the President of Tajikistan.

It is noteworthy that the diplomatic and economic relations of the Islamic Emirate with regional and global countries are expanding day by day.

Tajikistan is a neighboring country of Afghanistan that has not had diplomatic relations with Kabul for over four years.

Recently, it provided approximately 2,000 tons of humanitarian aid to earthquake victims in eastern Afghanistan.
