TTP warns Bajaur residents to avoid nighttime outings due to land mines

KABUL: The Deputy of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) for Bajaur district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in an audio message has recently warned residents of Bajaur to refrain from nighttime activities due to landmines planted on certain roads.

The audio message, shared on social media platforms including X, on Friday night, he called areas such as “Nik Band, Hilmand, Lera Band, Jannat Shah, Sharif Khana, Kamangar, and Ridewan” in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as conflict zones where roads have been mined.

He stressed that residents in these areas should avoid moving around from evening prayer until 8:00 AM.

In part of the message, Bilal Bajori stated, “If anyone is harmed as a result, they will be responsible for their own actions.”

Tensions and attacks between TTP and Pakistani military forces, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, have escalated recently.

Notably, last weekend, Qari Amjad, known as Qari Mazahim, a prominent commander of TTP, lost his life in clashes with Pakistani forces.
