IEA condolence message to 6.3 magnitude earthquake-hit families in Northern Afghanistan
KABUL: The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) has expressed deep sorrow over the 6.3 magnitude earthquake that struck Balkh, Samangan, and Baghlan provinces, causing both human casualties and financial losses.
Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the IEA, in a statement on Monday, stated that all government officials and agencies are actively engaged in providing support to the earthquake-affected communities to ensure that the necessary aid reaches them.
Mujahid wished paradise to those who lost their lives in the earthquake and wished a swift recovery for the injured, as well as patience for the families of the victims.
Earlier, the United Nations had also reacted to the earthquake, emphasizing the need for timely assistance for those affected in the northern provinces of Afghanistan.
