Seven development projects to be implemented in Uruzgan, ministry

KABUL: The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, in a statement told Radio Omid, that construction work on seven development projects costing 39 million Afghanis has been launched in Uruzgan province.

The projects will address environmental issues faced by the residents of the Khas district of the province and will be implemented through the Department of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, said the statement.

The statement noted that the projects include the construction of retaining walls, small dams, embankments, and bridges and its implementation will also create job opportunities for the residents of Khas Uruzgan.

The statement did not specify the source of funding for these public benefit projects.
