KABUL: Following the brutal murder of a 60-year-old woman and her 12-year-old daughter in the central Logar province, police have announced the arrest of the perpetrators.
The press office of the Logar police command reported today, that the two suspects, identified as Waqas son of Waris, and Wazir Gul son of Mohammad Alam, were arrested as a result of efforts of the personnel of the Ministry of Interior Affairs.
The detained individuals have reportedly confessed to their crime during initial investigations.
Last night, the suspects entered the home of the 60-year-old woman, incapacitated her and her daughter, and then murdered them with an axe.
The Logar police added that after the murder, the perpetrators stole 200,000 Afghanis and 4,000 US dollars from the residence.
Police forces have consistently assured the public that no criminal or lawbreaker can escape their attention.
