KABUL: The office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, has announced that the National Procurement Commission (NPC) has approved six projects worth 3.3 billion Afghanis.
Sources indicate that during a routine meeting led by Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, 18 projects were submitted for approval, after comprehensive discussions, six projects valued at 3.3 billion Afghanis were approved, with some amendments made to these projects.
According to the statement, committees have been tasked with negotiating project costs with the winning companies for four of the approved projects.
“Additionally, one project has been sent back for open bidding, and another project has been directed to relevant authorities to reassess the procurement process and report back to the leadership of the National Procurement Commission.”
The statement also mentioned that the approved projects include a water reservoir dam in the Qadis Khurdak district of Badghis, a road connecting Bagram and Koh-i-Safi districts in Parwan province, electricity supply to Qush Tepa and Darzab districts in Jawzjan province, as well as the completion of remaining tasks in various provinces related to electricity generation and distribution projects.
