KABUL: The Ministry of Information and Culture has announced that, through the initiative of the Department of Culture and Arts of the Information and Culture Directorate, the first exhibition of painting and calligraphy art has been held in Kunduz province.
The Ministry said in a statement today that the exhibition, featuring dozens of paintings and calligraphy works, was launched at the Bala-Hesar intersection in the city of Kunduz.
The statement quoted the head of the Culture and Arts Department in Kunduz as saying: “Currently, there are better opportunities for producing artistic works, encouraging painters and calligraphers to work more, as this field has more enthusiasts”.
The statement noted that several citizens of Kunduz, particularly young people and art enthusiasts, attended the exhibition.
Cultural experts believe that hosting cultural exhibitions can significantly increase the interest of the younger generation in these arts and bring the works of the country’s painters and calligraphers more into the public eye.
