KABUL: Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Moscow is prepared to mediate to resolve the disputes between Kabul and Islamabad.
According to Business Recorder, a Pakistani media outlet on Saturday night, Zakharova emphasized that stability in the region is a priority and that tensions along the Durand Line could pose a threat not only to Afghanistan and Pakistan but also to the international community.
She noted that Afghanistan and Pakistan should maintain restraint and highlighted dialogue as the only sustainable solution to reduce tensions.
Zakharova reaffirmed that Afghanistan and Pakistan are important partners for Russia.
Previously, other countries, including Iran, have also expressed their willingness to help resolve the disputes between Kabul and Islamabad.
