KABUL: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a statement on Monday, that a high-level delegation from Tajikistan, during their visit to Kabul met with Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate.
According to the statement, the discussions focused on strengthening and expanding relations in various areas, particularly diplomatic relations and economic cooperation.
Minister Muttaqi highlighted the long-standing and historical ties between Tajikistan and Afghanistan, stating that the Islamic Emirate aims to promote friendly relations and good neighborliness with the Republic of Tajikistan.
He expressed hope that there will be significant progress in the relationship between the two brotherly countries in the near future.
Meanwhile, the Tajik delegation assured progress in the relations between Kabul and Dushanbe, emphasizing that Afghanistan and Tajikistan can collaborate closely in various fields.
At the end of the meeting, both sides reiterated the importance of continuing their bilateral relations and discussions.
This visit marks the first trip by a high-level Tajik delegation to Afghanistan since the reestablishment of the Islamic Emirate.
