2nd day of Nooruddin Azizi’s visit to India: Meetings with representatives of Afghan companies

KABUL: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce reports that efforts are underway to enhance Afghanistan’s commercial presence in regional markets and expand economic cooperation with India.

In a statement, the ministry noted that during Minister of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi’s visit to India, he held discussions with representatives of Afghan companies at the “Pragati” International Exhibition in New Delhi.

The statement highlighted that the meeting focused on the importance of the active presence of Afghan companies, the establishment of dedicated sections or booths for Afghan businesses at the exhibition, visa facilitation, the organization of a joint Afghan-Indian exhibition, and the development of cooperation.

Previously, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce indicated that Nooruddin Azizi traveled to India at the official invitation to discuss activating the Chabahar Port, attracting Indian investments, facilitating trade relations, and enhancing Afghanistan’s role in transit routes.

Additionally, the spokesperson for the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Randeep Jaiswal, welcomed Mr. Azizi’s visit on social media, stating that promoting trade and investment between the two countries is a key objective of this trip.
