KABUL: According to international media reports, 227 students and teachers from a Christian community school in Nigeria have recently been abducted.
Reuters reported this morning, that the Christian Association of Nigeria confirmed the kidnapping in a statement.
It remains unclear who carried out the abductions, and no individual or group has claimed responsibility for this mass kidnapping.
This incident comes at a time when former U.S. President Donald Trump expressed strong condemnation of the Nigerian government regarding what he termed the killing of Christians in the country, threatening military action if the violence does not cease.
Trump directed the Pentagon to prepare for potential military intervention in Nigeria to stop the killing of Christians unless the violence is addressed.
In response to this threat, the Nigerian President requested a meeting with Trump to discuss his concerns about the violence against Christian communities in the country.
