KABUL: Iranian Foreign Minister Sayed Abbas Araghchi has announced an increase in trade levels between Iran and Afghanistan, stating that the trade exchange between the two countries currently surpasses that with all of Europe.
In an interview with the “Online News” outlet, Araghchi emphasized the need to focus more on trade with Afghanistan, noting that the border provinces of both countries can play a significant role in enhancing commerce.
He pointed to the sanctions imposed on Iran, suggesting that provincial officials can open more channels and fulfill many needs from neighboring countries.
This development comes at a time when Afghanistan’s relations with Iran through diplomatic channels are improving day by day, and there has been a notable increase in trade exchanges between the two nations recently.
