Armed gunmen attacked Pakistan Border Command Center

KABUL: Pakistani officials have reported that the command center of the Border Forces located in the “Peshawar” area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was attacked this morning.
According to the Pakistani newspaper Dawn, today, Saeed Ahmed, the police commander of Peshawar, stated that the assailants were three attackers who were neutralized by security forces, emergency conditions have been declared in two major government hospitals in Peshawar.
He confirmed that three security personnel from the Border Police Command Center were killed, and two others were injured.
Additionally, reports indicate that six civilian casualties have been transferred to the hospital as a result of the attack.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack, while former President Asif Ali Zardari also expressed condolences to the victims’ families in his message of condemnation.
As of now, it is unclear who carried out the attack, and no group has claimed responsibility.
Previously, members of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have targeted Pakistani military forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
