KABUL: Dr. Abdul Bari Omar, the General Director of Da Breshna Sherkat, during a press conference today, announced the reasons behind the power outages in the country for the citizens of Afghanistan.
According to him, the increase in the return of refugees to the country, the development of industrial and residential complexes, and the excessive consumption of electricity by citizens are significant factors contributing to the power outages.
He noted that these issues have increased the pressure on the electricity distribution network, leading the technical departments to implement power rationing.
Breshna officials stated that the purpose of these outages is to prevent potential accidents.
Additionally, they recently announced that power supply in the capital, Kabul, will be continuous for 24 hours within the next two or three months.
