KABUL: Zalmay Khalilzad, the former U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan, has condemned the recent attacks by the Pakistani regime and expressed condolences to the families of the victims.
In a post on his X account, Khalilzad stated, “Targeting civilians and the possibility of widespread conflict is detrimental to both countries and will not solve the problem.”
He mentioned that a delegation from Turkey is expected to visit Pakistan and possibly Afghanistan in the coming days, during which a joint monitoring center involving Qatar, Turkey, Afghanistan, and Pakistan will be opened in Ankara.
According to Khalilzad, this center will not only monitor but also seek to address issues as claims and reports are registered.
