KABUL: Officials from the Gaza Health Ministry, operating under Hamas, have reported that the number of Palestinians martyred due to attacks by the occupying Israeli regime has surpassed 70,000 in the past two years.
According to the Associated Press on Sunday night, among the bodies retrieved from the rubble in the early days of the Israeli assaults on Gaza, the toll has reached 70,100.
Despite a ceasefire agreement lasting 50 days, health organizations indicate that during this period, 352 Palestinians have also been martyred in Israeli attacks.
Recently, two brothers aged 8 and 11 were martyred in a drone strike by the regime in the “Bani Suheila” area near a school housing war refugees.
Hamas has called on mediating countries to pressure Tel Aviv to adhere to the commitments of the ceasefire agreement.
The Israeli assaults have not only claimed the lives of over 70,000 Palestinians, but they have also injured and maimed more than 100,000 others.
